Freedom fighters of India are the true heroes of the Indian independence struggle. The actual invasion of Indian freedom started when European reached the shores of this country. This began with the arrival of Vasco da Gama in 1498. The first instance of the freedom struggle erupted in the form of civic disobedience to preserve the cultural and religious integrity of India.

The rebellion extended into other areas like taxation, economy and governance to protest against the stifling strategies of the British Raj. Non-Violent rebellions were first launched by the Indian National Congress under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi. His efforts inspired people from all walks of life to fight for the nation’s cultural, economic, political and religious integrity.
