The Dhaba is another popular manifestation of the
Indian restaurant. These are local restaurants
dotting the highway. Dhabas are known for catering
to truckers. They serve local cuisine and are mostly
found near petrol pumps. They run 24 hours. The word
Dhaba is synonymous with Punjabi food and music for
the common man. A tea stall is a type of mobile
restaurant in India. It caters to common Indian
crowd. Tea stalls are made by small time vendors who
sell tea; coffee and milk on make shift stalls on
the roadside.
